One of our most significant partnerships is with RBC Foundation. Together, we are powered by a shared mission: to help young people in Canada prepare for the future of work by providing access to mentorship, networking, and skill-building through the Ten Thousand Coffees (10KC) platform. As we expand this impact to entrepreneurs and newcomers to Canada, we are looking for a dedicated intern to help us scale this mission.
👋 A little about the team!
Hi there! I’m Erynn Gauld, and I’m the Head of Social Impact at 10KC and Abode. I oversee everything related to social impact, including managing and executing on our largest partnership with RBC Foundation. A large part of my job - and yours - will be creative problem solving.
You will be stepping into a unique role that sits at the intersection of Social Impact, Customer Success, and Business Development.
- Erynn Gauld (Head of Social Impact): Erynn leads our mission-driven initiatives, ensuring our technology creates equitable access to opportunity
- Kat Nowlan (Customer Success Manager): Kat leads program-related initiatives with post-secondary institutions from program administrator training, to new program implementations
- Brittany Bennett (Senior Manager, 10KC CS): Brittany oversees the success of all our 10KC customers, ensuring our mentorship frameworks drive real human connection
- Ford Kirkmyer (Head of Customer Success): Ford oversees the full post-sales ecosystem and ensures our partnerships align with our broader GTM strategy across both 10KC and Abode
🤩 The Role & Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Social Impact & Partnerships Intern. This isn't a "behind the scenes" role: you will be an active ambassador for the RBC Foundation partnership. You will help us find new institutional partners, demo our technology, and inspire students across Canada to take the first step in their professional journey.
Partnership Growth & Sales (50%)
- Institutional Outreach: You will identify and reach out to Canadian post-secondary schools, non-profits, and community hubs to invite them into the our sponsored ecosystem.
- Product Evangelism: You’ll lead demos of the 10KC platform for prospective partners, showing them how our "Networking by Ten Thousand Coffees" tool can transform their student/member experience.
- The Partnership Pitch: Help us articulate the value of being an RBC Foundation partner, focusing on how our data and technology close the "networking gap" for underrepresented youth.
Student Marketing & Engagement (30%)
- Growth Hacking Mentorship: You’ll help design and execute marketing campaigns to get Canadian students signed up for mentorship opportunities.
- Content Creation: Draft "Gen-Z to Gen-Z" outreach sequences, social posts, and newsletter content that encourages students to stop scrolling and start networking.
- Events & Webinars: Support the planning and execution of virtual events that connect students with industry mentors.
